Our Socialist Wrote the Pledge t-shirt has a comic design with a bit of little-known info. Francis Bellamy, a socialist, wrote the Pledge in 1892. After all that yammering by one of our political parties about disavowing socialism while requiring recitation of the Pledge... let's just say we were struck by the irony. We wonder how many Republicans in Congress know that the Pledge of Allegiance, their sacred vow, was written by a socialist. And, no, it doesn't make you a commie... - 100% Airlume combed and ring spun cotton for super comfy softness (Ash is 99/1 cotton/polyester. Athletic heather is 90/10 cotton/polyester. Other heather colors are 52/48 cotton/polyester)
